My Top 3 affordable face masks for Dry Skin
Those of you that also follow me on social media, especially Instagram will know that I am obsessed with #SELFCARESUNDAY and sitting myself in a lovely bath with a good book and a face mask, all being supervised by Gladys, my cat.
As I have dry ageing (I’m in my 40’s, shhhhhhhh) skin with occasional eczema break outs I find that face masks are amazing for adding a boost of hydration to my skin. Obviously I follow and have followed a skincare routine for a few years now however I have noticed a big difference with my skin since I began my weekly mask routine.
As with all masks, there is usually extra serum in the packet and so I make sure not to waste this and once my mask is removed I rub this extra serum into my face, neck and décolleté area. Don’t waste a drop of this lovely serum as its great for all over your body not just your face!
I try many face masks and usually pick up a few new brands/bargains from TK Maxx however I have 3 face masks that I know work for my skin and leave me hydrated and glowing. As with all posts, this is not sponsored or paid and is my personal opinion only.
In reverse order:
3. Bioaqua seaweed extract Korean skincare mask (£1.59 eBay)
I bought these masks to test more affordable skincare options for following a Korean Skincare routine and they are absolutely gorgeous. As you can imagine, for the price and fact that they come from abroad and are also off eBay, I was absolutely amazed by the results. Not only is the packaging cute but they readily did add moisture to my skin and made my skin feel soft too.
2. Garnier Moisture Bomb fatigued skin lavender sheet mask (£2.99 Superdrug)
This mask is a new favourite and not only leaves my skin soft and hydrated but it also smells lovely and is one that I use when Ive not been sleeping properly. I don’t know if its psychological but I do seem to sleep a bit better when I am smelling with lovely serum on my skin at bedtime. This mask is infused with an intense de-tiring formula enriched with lavender essential oil and hyaluronic acid, which is a powerful hydrating active capable of retaining 1000x its weight in water. Once applied on the face, it diffuses it’s de-tiring and hydrating benefits onto the skin.
1. Garnier Moisture Bomb Sakura Hydrating Face Sheet Mask (£2.99 Superdrug)
This mask is my absolute favourite and as an extra boost on a Sunday I also use the Garnier Moisture Bomb moisturiser once the serum has soaked into my skin. I have found that no matter what condition my skin is in (and yes I get stressed and have hormonal breakouts too) this mask gives my skin an amazing boost of moisture and leaves it looking and feeling radiant. This mask is also amazing to aid in getting my eczema under control if I have a flair up. It has never irritated my sensitive skin and is my all time ‘go to’ mask for any occasion. (Ive also been known to use this mask on models skin before a shoot as this ensures that the skin is hydrated and so the products work and photograph beautifully).
These are my top 3 face masks however below are a list of all of the face masks that I currently use and adore.
If you are using or have used a face mask that I haven’t mentioned and you think I need to try it, please leave me the information in the comments as I am always happy to purchase a good face mask and to share the love.
